Andy Galloway reported activity believed to be by a fisher a few days ago.
Over the last year we’ve had repeated deaths of our chickens, brutally committed (of course), and two nights ago our last two chickens were killed with injuries showing a very effective but small-headed predator: one chicken killed for the attacker’s pleasure had only a fist-sized deep hole in the breast and the head cleanly bitten off. So, not a racoon or fox. We can see a small fence opening that the animal used to enter the chicken’s hutch.

Enjoy an hour long session of yoga asana practice that is suitable for all levels of practitioners. Whether you are a seasoned yogi looking for convenience and motivation to practice, or a beginner or somewhere in between, this practice will help to build balance, flexibility and and strength in the body and bring mindfulness in your daily lives. Amita will offer modifications for beginners and for those who have difficulty with balance or up-and-down movements or have some limited mobility.
There is no fee, but contributions of $5 will support a local food pantry.
Currently the sessions are at 5:30 pm on Thursdays. Everyone will need a mat. Amita strongly recommends that folks bring two blocks and a blanket for padding for the knees. there is space to store your mat, blocks and blanket at the Chapel if you wish to do so.
If you are interested, send Amita email at lostverma@yahoo.com
Dear Neighbors,
The Chapel is looking for someone over 18 (probably a college student) to lead our summer children’s Christian education program (Sunday School) for the summer months this year. The classes are typically small (at most 8 children), ages preschool–elementary, and the curriculum is provided. Worship starts at 10:00 and usually ends around 11:15. Pay is $25 each Sunday regardless of number of children. It would be wonderful if someone from Forest Home would be able to do this for us.
For more information please contact Sara Haefeli, Chair of the Chapel’s Education Committee, at Sara.haefeli@me.com.
